Day 3
The show is crazy. Nine hours a day of non-stop talking to the river of people flowing through. It was a great day though – I sold a piece to a very nice man and had 3 other pieces taken by Gallerie Division in Montreal. The exposure is phenomenal and again I am blown away by the ability of the work to appeal to such a broad spectrum of people on a variety of different levels. Yes, some people don’t get far enough to fully understand the context but that is true of all art. So one more day and I hope it will be as gratifying as yesterday. And Oh – how could I forget – I won an award with the prize generously donated by the David Kaye gallery here in Toronto! So there you go, as Brick put it “Marianne Corless, recognized by the jury of the prestigious Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, now in its 47th year”. He has such a way with words.
